Norde had unsurpassed sleddog mentality and always did her utmost to contribute to any team in which she was placed. I acquired her in 1991 from dog driver Brad Pozarnsky and took her back to Spain along with Hurley and Kidron. There she gave birth to our second litter in Spain, becoming the dam of an excellent leader, MARKOBOSCO, sired by RIVER VIEW'S HURLEY. When we came to the Yukon, she was chosen to be the dam of our first litter by Russian import SHAKAL IZ SOLOVYEV; she gave birth to five strong, robust, uniform progeny, the Z-Litter, at age ten. Norde's primitive type and strong mentality assured her place in future Seppala pedigrees. Her calm, friendly personality made her a pleasant companion in her day, as well as a truly professional sleddog.

Norde was a cherished personal companion of Jeffrey's, one of the three "girlfriends" who kept me from freezing in the wall tent those first three winters.
