"ZIRC" was a valued utility leader, especially useful for excursions into mountainous or difficult terrain due to her calm, steady attitude. She was one of the many "Powder" progeny out of the Willett kennels. A strong representative of the crucial "Beowulf" bloodline, when bred to Russian import SHAKAL IZ SOLOVYEV at nine and one-half years' age she produced the "P" litter, three males and three females most of whom proved to be superior first-string sleddogs. As "Dreama" represents the tidy, compact end of the Seppala spectrum of physical types, Zirconia illustrates the rangy, rawboned type. A kennel dog throughout her working life, in retirement she gracefully made the transition to house pet status at Seppala Kennels.
Like all of the "Powder people," ZIRC had a sweet, affectionate nature and a serious, responsible temperament. She and KIDRON OF SPIRIT WIND together formed a lead pair that could be taken safely into very difficult trail situations in remote back country.
