Never born. Never died. Sepalluna-Ji shared her Perfect Love and Light with us in a canine body from 29 November 1991 until 17 June 2005, when she cast aside her worn-out physical shell and celebrated her Maha Samadhi.

        

Sepalluna-Ji, known to her friends as BooBoo-Ji, was our first Enlightened Seppala. We recognised quite early that she was the reincarnation of Helen of Markovo, though it took awhile to understand why she had returned to us. Gradually it became obvious that she had returned to show and teach us Perfect Love. Shown in her photo above, overlooked by the Satguru, Gangaji, BooBoo-Ji was the perfect exemplar of Patanjali's principle "yogash-chitta-vritti-nirodhah" ("Awareness is freedom from non-essential, self-limiting thought"); BooBoo-Ji demonstrated Perfect Awareness, utterly without thoughts. Before we realised her true nature we would laugh and call her "Airhead." Her Love overcame our lack of awareness. Her deepest nature was Love and Light. Sepalluna-Ji shone with the sacred light described by the Gayatri Mantra (in Sanskrit above): "Earth, Atmosphere, Heavens. We meditate on the sacred light of the effulgent Source. May That inspire our thoughts."

Sepalluna-Ji was a worthy spiritual daughter of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi, the most highly revered of Enlightened Masters. Wordlessly, she taught us Love and Light. She carried forward the teaching of Sri Ramana, Papaji and Gangaji that it is not necessary to DO anything or to speak any words in order to know that One Self within which we all exist. Now she has discarded the beloved little white and brown furry 38-pound body and the wise blue eyes. But BooBoo-Ji has gone nowhere; where would she go? She is with us always. May her Wisdom and Perfect Love continue to guide us at Seppala Kennels as we seek a future for her tribe.
